Dear Kallu,

The Acronym "AFCAT" stands for Air Force Common Admission Test.

This Exam is conducted for the following branches :

a) Ground Duty Branch

b) Flying Branch

c) Technical Branch


The Eligibility Criteria For This Exam differs from branch :


a) For Ground Duty Branch , you must have completed Graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university as well as your age should lie in between 20-27 years.

b) For Flying Branch , you must have completed B.E./B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks and your age should lie in between 19-23 years.

c) For Technical Branch , you must have completed Aeronautical Engineering from any UGC recognized University and must lie in the age group of 18-28 years.


This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.

Sir,i am a Third Year Computer Engineering student, can i apply for flying or technical branch in indian airforce as i m very much passionate to join indian airforce ?
