2>On only MCA degree basis ,am i eligible to teach Btech and MCA?

3>Mtech in networking will effect to teach the CS students and further position of Assistant professor and professor?

Eligibility criteria to teach B-TECH and MCA courses.

-Should have Minimum post graduation qualification in specified stream.
-And should have Good communication skills.

If you have good communication skills, then you are eligible, as you said that you have completed your MCA, MCA education qualification is sufficient to teach the courses.

If college / institute allows to teach B.E. / B.Tech. students then you are eligibile.

Otherwise you are eligibile to teach MCA students.

After master degree you will be eligible for teaching any bachelor course.
so if you are M.tech then you will be eligible for B.tech students as per rules of AICTE.
but now a days it will be not followed so you are apply in some colleges for teaching the B.tech and MCA students.

Sure you are eligible to go into the teaching field. However you need to first clear the UGC exam. Only then will you receive the 6th Pay Commission. To teach the B.Tech students you need to complete your M.TEch too. As per the industry practice B.Tech is considered equivalent to the MCA.

Teaching job after MCA.

Teaching jobs are considered as one of the noblest profession. The teaching field has diverse areas of specialization. Teachers require diverse skills and training according to the levels of education. With a Masters degree in Computer application the candidate can go for lecture post in different private and government colleges. The eligibility to join a college or university as a lecture is a Masters degree. Along with this the candidate must qualify in the NET exam. This is carried out by UGC. After MCA try to do a doctoral degree. This will have additional benefit if you want a career in teaching profession.

no after MCA you will not be able to teach B.tech students according to AICTE rules. but some institution may take you as assistant lecturer for BCA student but they may allow you to teach the B.Tech students.

after MCA you will be eligible to teach BCA students. as you have master degree in computer application then you may eligible to teach B.tech in computer science student. i will suggest you to contact with the AICTE to know exactly about their rules.

best of luck.

dear friends,

thousands of students have intentedly M.Tech after doing MCA and qualifying GATE examination for becoming Lecturer in Colleges as per earlier guidelines of AICTE.
Sudden change in AICTE norms have put these candidates in problem to get recruited in Engineering Colleges, thereby playing with future of these.

Again, if new rules are to be implemented, they should be implemented systematically, by first disallowing MCA/MSC students to appear in GATE and taking admission in M.Tech.

Again, MCA+MTech course giving total study of BCA/BSC(CS)+MCA+MTech (3+3+2= 8 years) as compared to B.Tech+MTech ( 4+2=6 years) in the area of computer science. It is further important to notice that course contents of MCA and BTech are more or less same. So, new norms of AICTE is only creating chaos and spoiling future of thousands of competent people. Atleast MCA people with GATE qualification must be allowed, as they are same competent as BTech as they have qualified same test.

Kindly look into the matter. Hoping for positive response in favour of candidates.

all the best ..................

No an MCA can not teach MCA you need to have expert knowledge

on the subject, if you are only an mca you can't teach,

Minimum you shuld have M.Tech to teach B.Tech/Mca you can opt to teach for

BCA... and get distance education M.Tech if you want to teach

or go for P.Hd. However some private colleges in lack of qualified professional

take MCA/B.Tech to teach engineerin students, it is ileagal i think

but you can go for it and try your luck

hiiiiiiiii

if you go by actual norms , you will not be able to teach btech students . But in almost all private institutions you will be allowed to teach subjects like c , c++ , DS etc. It actually depends on your ability of teaching..

hello dear

see, MCA is nearly equivalent to B.E./BTech.

so why you will do B.E./BTech.

if you are really interested to do technical courses then it will be better to do Mtech after MCA.

to do MCA you have to qualify GATE exam.

Hey

Since you have done BCA,so many institutes can allow you to teach B.Tech students of Computers.

But as you told above that you are pursuing M.Tech.,so on the basis of that degree you can easily teach B.tech students.

All the very best.

AICTE norms
For Teaching B.tech Students M.Tech is a must. Your qualification I.e MCA is equavalent to B.Tech. However if you Write NET exam and qualify. You will get Priority while when compared to M.Tech Holders who do not get thru NET.

My sincere suggestion is Apply for PhD.
AICTE is chanigng rules that along with required degree in the relevant field PhD is must For Faculties of Engineering Colleges. Hope this is useful.

Default Re: Am I eligible to teach B.E./BTech and MCA students after completing MCA?

As per UGC and AICTE's regulations

1. To teach for Engineering courses (B.E/B.Tech) one must have M.Tech
2. To teach for M.E/M.Tech one must have M.Tech + Ph.D
3. To teach for B.Sc(CS)/B.C.A/B.Sc(IT) one must have MCA + M.Phil
4. To teach for MCA/M.Sc(CS)/M.Sc(IT) one must have MCA + M.Phil + Ph.D / MCA+Ph.D

Some universities (for example VIT, Vellore) follow same rules for both Computer Science and Engineering disciplines (i.e They need an M.Tech/M.E + PhD to teach for both M.E/M.Tech engineering courses as well as for MCA/M.Sc(CS/IT) courses. This vary from university to university.

In short to teach for engineering disciplines one need engineering degree.
To teah for arts and science disciplines (MCA/M.SC[IT/CS]), one need MCA + Ph.D

These are the rules in paper. But many private institutions dont follow these rules strictly. But they are subjected to change in future and one cannot rely on their present system/standards. If AICTE and UGC are very strictly start implementing their rules and regulations, then these institutions need to adopt them.

Case 1: I have an MCA degree and want to work in an engineering college. What should I do?
Ans: Most of the universities allow MCA people to study M.Tech/M.E either in part time or in full time mode. You can finish that course and can apply to teach in engineering colleges.

Case 2: I have an MCA and M.Phil. Should I do Ph.D to start teaching for Arts and Science courses (MCA/M.Sc[CS/IT])?
Ans: As per UGC rules, you are eligible to teach for UG level courses (BCA/B.Sc[CS/IT]). To teach for P.G level course u must either have Ph.D or have NET/SET cleared.

Case 3: I have and MCA. Should I first finish M.Phil before taking up Ph.D or can I straightly start doing Ph.D?
Ans: Yes. You can straightly start doing Ph.D

Case 4: Is NET/SET is excempted for M.Phil degree holders?
Ans: No.

Case 5: Is NET/SET is excempted for Ph.D degree holders?

Dear Aspirant,

Yes 100% you can teach the Btech students since you have done your PG course.

There is no doubt in that. But you need to know the basics of the Btech subjects.

Ofcourse you are having many similar subjects in the MCA.

So there will be no problem faced for you if you teach the subjects for the students of the BE/Btech.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

I wonder why do you want to land into this type of combination. BE/B.Tech is an engineering degree. You can focus about doing M.E/M.Tech or can apply for UGC-CSIR examination after which you can do your Ph.D with UGC aid (Monetory help).

BCA is in arts and science stream and to teach to that, as per UGC's norms, One must have a Post Graduation (M.Sc -CS or MCA) with M.Phil.
