Western Railway (WR) was formed on 5th November, 1951. It was actually formed by merging the Bombay Railway, the Baroda Railway and the Central India Railway with other State Railways including Jaipur, Saurashtra and Rajputana. Western Railway covers the areas of Gujarat, portions of Rajasthan and some regions of Madhya Pradesh.
Job Profile:
Western Railway (WR) invites applications from eligible and interested Indian citizens for filling up the Gangman / Trackman Group-D posts in its Divisions and Workshops.
No. of posts - 3671
Pay Scale – Pay Band-1 of Rs 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay of Rs.1, 800
Eligibility:
Age Criteria: Minimum age limit is 18 yrs and maximum age limit is 33 yrs (Relaxable as per rules).
Educational Qualification: Indian citizens who have passed in 10th class or ITI or its equivalent.
Selection Process:
The selection for the post is through Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and written examination. Only candidates who successfully pass the PET will be qualified to appear in the written examination. There will be no PET for PH candidates.

Application Fee:
Account payee Demand Draft/Pay Order of Rs. 40 (for unreserved and OBC candidates) must be drawn from any Nationalized Bank or Indian Postal Order of Rs. 40 must be drawn from any Post Office drawn in favor of Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment) and payable at Mumbai. SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, women, economically weaker sections and minority communities need not pay the fees.
