GE global research is one of the world’s most diversified industrial research labs and before recruiting students from colleges, it takes a placement test and the students who clear the test has to face the HR round. Once a student clears the HR round, he/she gets selected for the company. The test is called the aptitude test and it not only checks the aptitude of the students by asking questions on logical reasoning and quantitative ability but also checks the technical knowledge of the students.

Paper pattern:

The test is taken to check the aptitude and the technical knowledge of the students. The test comprises of 50 questions divided into two sections – aptitude and technical. The technical part is given more preference with 30 questions whereas the aptitude has only 20. The aptitude part checks the speed and the brains of the students by asking questions on logical reasoning and verbal ability.

Technical Knowledge required for solving technical portion

The students have to be well versed with the technical knowledge which generally consists of data structure, C and C++ since these three are the base of the technical knowledge of the students.

Time Allotted

The time allotted for this is 1 hour so the company even checks the potential of the student in adverse conditions since they have to manage their time and solve the questions accordingly.
