Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is a prominent academic institution in the country offering different professional programs for the aspirants. The national importance of the university attracts many candidates to take the courses offered by the university. The admission process of the university depends on the entrance test conducted by the IPU. The GGSIPU CET MBBS entrance examination is one of such common entrance test carry out by the university for the medical aspirants.

Structure of GGSIPU CET MBBS

The GGSIPU CET MBBS entrance tests carried-out in two stages consist of one paper each. Each stage consists of objective type paper with 180 minute duration. The total questions in each paper will be 200 and the syllabus of the examination covers the areas of,

  • Physics: 50 Questions (150 marks)
  • Chemistry: 50 Questions (150 marks)
  • Zoology: 50 Questions (150 marks)
  • Botany: 50 Questions (150 marks)

Negative marks will awarded for the wrong answers and only those aspirants who qualified the first stage can take the second paper on the second stage. The candidates should have minimum marks to qualify for the second round, as announced by the university.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate having at least seventeen years of age with Indian citizenship can apply for the examination. They must pass HSS examination with minimum 50% marks in the science stream with subjects PCB along with English (optional or core). There will be relaxation of 10% in the requirement for the reserved candidates.

How to Apply?

The application form is available from the designated branches of Indian bank across India. One can purchase it by paying Rs.1, 000/-. One can send the request for the application form along with brochure through post by taking a DD of the application amount in favor of Registrar, GGSIPU payable at Delhi.

How to fill the Form?

The guidelines for filling the form are described in the brochure and hence the students should read the information prior to filling the form. The information should give in capital letters in applicant’s handwriting. There should not be any mistakes made in the application form while filling the same otherwise the application form will be discarded. Paste the photo in required size and format in the specified box and put your signature in the given column. The form along with attached documents should reach the GGSIPU exam committee before the closing date.

  • Last date for receipt of completed Application Form in the University: Last Week of April, 2012
  • Date Common Entrance Test (MBBS Stage I): First Week of May, 2012
  • Date of declaration of Result of CET MBBS Stage I: Third Week of May, 2012
  • Date & Time of Common Entrance Test (CET: MBBS Stage - II): Last Week of May, 2012
  • Date of Final Result: Second Week of June, 2012

Prepare well before sitting for the final exam. Cover the topics which may be asked in the exam within the scheduled time. Prepare your own time table and allot needed time for each subject. How and Where To Get the Results?

The candidates of the CET test can see their result on the web portal of the IP University after the date of announcement of the results. The qualified candidates for the further admission process will also get the official confirmation through mail.

Score Validity

The Score of the GGSIPU CET MBBS Entrance test is valid till the admission processes in the colleges using this examination get over.
