Vascular Surgery is a surgical specialty that deals with the diseases pertaining to the vascular system or veins and arteries. Under this branch of surgery, diseases in the vascular system are managed through surgical reconstruction, minimally-invasive catheter procedures and medical therapy.

Intake capacity:

The medical council of India has approved the Stanley Medical College to admit one student per year, while the Madras Medical College is approved with an intake capacity of two students per year for the M. Ch in Vascular Surgery course with consent from the Dr. M.G.R. Medical University to which both these colleges are affiliated.

Eligibility requirement:

For applying to the M. Ch in Vascular Surgery course, candidates must have completed their MS in general surgery course from an Indian university that is approved by the Medical Council of India and they should also have obtained permanent registration from the medical councils belonging to any state in India.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates to the M. Ch in Vascular Surgery course is done based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test conducted by the committee of selectors constituted by the Directorate of Medical Education & Counseling.

    Addtionally I find MCh admission in Vascular surgey as below

    Sree Chitra - Trivandrum - 2 seats
    CMC Vellore 1 seat
    MS Ramaiah Bangalore - 2 seats.
    All in South India.
    I wonder why there no seats in north including institutions of national importance like AIIMS, PGIMER chandigarh and Sanjay Gandhi Lucknow?
