Government Engineering College at Valsad came into existence in the year 2004 and it is approved by All India Council for Technical Education to offer Engineering Courses. The college is affiliated to Veer Namad South Gujarat University located at Surat and the Gujarat Technological University located at Ahmedabad. Students admitted before the year 2007 were enrolled in Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and after 2007 are being enrolled with Gujarat Technological University.

Initially, Government Engineering College located at Valsad was offering Bachelor of Engineering course in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering only, later some other branches were introduced, and the list of courses offered is given below:

Intake Capacity:

The intake capacity of the Government Engineering College at Valsad is 60 students each for Environmental, civil and electrical engineering and 120 students each for mechanical and chemical engineering.

The college is working as a training partner of Gujarat Knowledgeable society thereby offering several short-term courses to the students with a view to empower their talents by guiding them towards a job suitable for their educational qualification.

The campus of Government Engineering College is spread over an area of 10.3 acres and it includes different functional zones like canteen, student amenities with gymkhana, library, workshops and academic buildings, administrative block, etc…
