The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions is dealing with post employment dispensation, staff welfare, training, career development and recruitment. The ministry is currently working under the control of the Prime Minster of the country, who is assisted by the Minister of State. The ministry has three departments under its control and these departments are:

Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances

Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare

Department of Personnel and Training

Some of the details regarding each of the above-mentioned departments functioning under the ministry are given below:

Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances:

This department acts towards the pursuit of excellence in governance through networking in different agencies, simplification and codification of procedures, dissemination, incubation and documentation, promotion of citizen-friendly initiatives inclusive of public grievance redressal and improvement of processes and structures of Government. The department also works hard to bring about the functioning of the government organizations through administrative reforms through grievance handling, process improvement, etc…

Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare:

This department deals with formulation of policies pertaining to post retirement benefits of the employees of central government. It redresses the grievances of pensioners’ for different government organizations by acting as a forum. However, the pensioners of Ministries of Defence and Railways are handled by appropriate ministries.

Department of Personnel and Training:

Department of Personnel & Training is responsible for the formulation of policies and acting as watchdog for the Government of India to ensure that specific consented norms and standards laid by the government are followed by the department and ministries in the recruitment, deputation of personnel, posting transfers and regulation of service conditions. This department controls the cadres of Central Secretariat Service and Indian Administrative Service. The department is also responsible for recruitment of members of the board of management, director, managing director and chairman for different public sector enterprises, financial institutions, banks and corporations. The department also assigns Indian experts to different developing countries.

For the above-mentioned position, the ministry looked for commerce graduates and like this the other qualification required to find placement in this ministry purely depend on the position for which applications are invited.     Hi, I am 30 Years old having six years of banking experience as deputy manager in back office operation of HDFC Bank from 2004 till 2010 having commerce background(B.Com(H),and M.Com), Can I apply for any one of the above mentioned three Departments and is there any entrance exam. If yes, then please provide the information.
