Haryana State counselling Society conducts an online entrance test each year for the admission into various courses offered by different government and private institutes in the state of Haryana. Haryana Combined Online Entrance Test for the MCA course (OLET MCA) is organized by HSCS for the selection of eligible candidates for the MCA courses. The duration of the MCA course is three years. This exam provides a possibility for large number of candidates in Haryana to pursue a MCA degree and develop their career in the Software industry. Numerous applicants are there for the test each year.

Structure of Haryana Combined Online Entrance Test (OLET MCA)

The admission of the candidates for the MCA courses depends upon the score secured in the entrance test. The entrance test is a one and a half hours online test with objective type questions with only one paper of questions. The number of questions asked in the test is about 90 questions. The aim of the test is to evaluate the candidates’ ability in mathematics, logical reasoning, English language usage etc. There is no negative mark awarded for the candidates for the wrong answers. The total marks for the test is 90 marks.

The syllabus of the questions is based on the topics from the plus two classes. There are three parts of questions. Topics for the test are described below. Part-I

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have completed their three years Bachelors Degree with 50% marks and mathematics as a subject can apply for the test. Those who have passed their BCA courses with minimum 50% marks can apply for the test. The candidates have to attain their degree from any approved institute. The SC/ST candidates can apply for the test if they have at least 45 % marks in their qualifying exam. Those who have satisfied all theses criteria can apply for the test.

How to Apply?

For appearing for the online MCA entrance test conducted by Haryana State counselling Society the candidates have to submit the online registration form. For this the candidates have to visit the official website http://onlinetesthry.nic.in and register for the exam. During registration the candidates get a slip when they pay the exam fee.  Using this slip the candidates can pay fee in any bank branches of Axis bank or Punjab national Bank. The exam fee is Rs.500/-. The candidates have to take the print out copy of the application form and send it to the HSCS office with the fee receipt before the last date.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates must fill the online registration form with proper care. It is the responsibility of the candidates to fill all the details correctly. Any error may lead to the debarring from the test. The candidates have to enter their name, date of birth, qualification details etc. After successful registration for the exam an application form will be displayed that is very unique. It should be filled correctly by the candidates and they should send the print out copy of it to the office.

  • Online Registration for Entrance Test:  From the First Week of June, 2012
  • Deposition of application form to HSCS: From the First Week of June, 2012
  • Availability of Admit card/ Roll No Slip for entrance test: From the Last Week of June, 2012
  • Online Entrance Test OLET (MCA):  In the First Week of July, 2012
  • Display of inter-se Merit/Unique ranks of OLET (MCA): Second Week of July, 2012
  • Online payment of counselling fee: Up to the second Week of July, 2012

For attending an MCA entrance exam a good effort is needed from the side of the candidates. The candidates have to manage the time for study. A good study plan is necessary for the candidates. The study plan must match with the time schedule of the candidates. Regular practice is necessary for the candidates to solve the mathematical problems in the exam. Regular practice helps the candidates to manage the time of the exam. Revise the studied topics during the last days of the exam.

The result of the candidates will be published in the website www.hscs.net.in.

Score Validity

The score of the exam will be valid for one year.
