How to Prepare for IIT –JEE exam?

The Indian Institute of Technology carries out the Joint Entrance Exam for the admittance of candidates into the various courses that are offered in the institution. As the availability of seats is comparatively low, the competition will be very tough. The students need to have confidence in their abilities. Only then will they be able to prepare well for their exam. Having a good basic knowledge of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry of classes 11 and 12 will be sufficient for the students. Apart from this, they won’t have to attend any practical sessions.

Structure of the IIT- JEE entrance exam

The IIT – JEE paper will include topics on subjects like Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. The exam will have two parts. Each paper will have duration of 3 hours. The questions will be of the objective type. The aspirants will get a chance to pick the correct answer from the given lot. For every inaccurate answer, there will be negative marks.

Syllabus of the IIT- JEE entrance exam

Normally questions asked will be in the level with the 12th standard syllabus. The papers are set based on the CBSE syllabus. There are also specific areas in each of these subjects.

Study Plan for the IIT-JEE entrance exam

The candidates should know how to manage their time well. Following a correct pattern of study meticulously will only help them enhance their abilities to complete their work in time. The students should keep a strict timing for their studies and other activities. Always taking breaks at appropriate timings will help the students get refreshed before they start studying again. Over exerting themselves will do them no good.

At the time of studying, the students must revise the portion everyday by setting up separate time for each subject. The candidates can also practice writing down formulae or proofs they might forget by always keeping a piece of paper when they study. Studying by this method will surely increase the memory power of the students to a great extend. Study materials for the exam will be available in all leading stationary stores or the internet. Students can always study with their friends by the group study method. This will enable them to clear each others doubts.

Moreover, the students should be relaxed before their exams. There is no use panicking; it will only make them more unease. They should remember to have a night of good sleep before they appear for the exams.
