How to Prepare for Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices Exam?

The Indian Navy conducts an entrance test for recruitment of Dockyard Apprentices in Indian Navy. This examination is held twice in a year probably in July and December month. The Indian Navy is a highly reputed defence organisation of the nation and it has most aspired careers for aspirants.

Many aspirants apply for this place. The entrance examination is carried out nearly 40 centres across the nation. Unmarried male aspirants are qualified for this examination. The aspirant should be an Indian and they belong to the age group of 14 to 19 years. The aspirant should have passed matriculation or equivalent test with science group. They should have at least a weight of 45 kg and height should be minimum 150 cm.

The notification of this exam is published in the Employment News and every important National/Regional Newspapers. At first, the aspirants should go for screening documents, medical test and physical measurements. The candidates who have cleared the first procedure can attend written test. The applicants are selected based on medical examination, physical Fitness Test and written examination.

Structure of Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices Exam

The written test consists of two papers. These two papers carry maximum of 100 marks. The first paper is mathematics and the second paper is General science and General knowledge. The duration of first paper is two and half-hours. The duration of second paper is 2 hours. The aspirants who have cleared the written test can attend the personal Interview. The personal interview carried out at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata.
