How to prepare for MD Ayurveda Entrance Exam?
Ayurveda is a traditional treatment method native to India which is used to cure wide range of diseases with the help of natural herbs, fruits, vegetables, minerals, etc. After the undergraduate degree in Ayurveda(Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)), the aspirants can go for postgraduate course (MD) in Ayurveda in various fields such as Ayurved Sinddhant and Darshana, , Dravya Guna, Kaumara, Panchakarma, Shalya and so on. For getting admission to the MD programme, the candidate has to clear the entrance exam conducted by the respective colleges.

Most of the states of India conduct separate entrance exams for the admittance of aspirants to the post graduate programmes of Ayurveda. Some of the Universities also conduct separate entrance exam for providing admission to the eligible candidates to the ayurveda colleges under it. MD Ayurveda Entrance Exams Pattern
MD Ayurveda Entrance Exam will consist of objective type multiple choice questions. Generally the Exam consists of 2 papers, a general paper common to all candidates and a special paper which is separate for the candidates based on their specialization. The candidates are required to attend both the sections and there will be cut off for each section. Usually there will be a total of 240 questions which have to be answered within 180 minutes. This may change depending on the various university norms. Only those clearing the exam will be provided admission to various ayurvedic colleges.
General guidelines for preparing for MD Ayurveda Entrance Exams
The exam is highly competitive and hence only well prepared candidates can get through the exam. The aspirants should have a thorough understanding about the syllabus of the exam. Each and every topic has to be covered before 1 week of the examination and the last week should be utilized for revising all the topics. Several authorized reference books are available in the market; the candidates can practice with that. Practicing with previous year question papers helps the aspirant to have an idea of the exam and helps in better time management.
