Master of Science in Microbiology is a post graduate degree of science. It is mainly concerned with the study of microorganisms and their effect on human beings. It is a two year academic course and the course duration may vary depending on the university opted to study. But the minimum duration required is two years. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are having a master’s degree in any of the subjects like microbiology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Human Genetics, Plant Protection, Environmental Sciences, Home Science, Dairy Sciences, Fisheries, App. Nutrition, Biotechnology, Medical Lab. Technology, Public Health, Nutrition and Dietetics, Nursing, Agriculture and Horticulture or Forestry, BSc Agriculture, BSc Home Science in Science stream with a combination of two subjects are eligible for the exam.

General guidelines for preparing for M.Sc. Microbiology Entrance Exam

Candidates should have a basic idea about the entire topic covered under the syllabus. While preparing for the exam he/she should refer as many possible textbooks and links related to the subject. The candidate should be thorough with the under graduate course. Referring previous year entrance exam question papers while preparing for the test will be a good practice.

M.Sc. Microbiology Entrance Exam Pattern

The exam pattern will be different for different universities. In general, the exam will be an objective type exam with multiple choice questions. The candidates can score four marks for every correct answers and one mark will be reduced for every incorrect answer.

Set up a full proof study Plan

Studying with the help of a well prepared study plan is always a good practice. The plan should be such that enough time is obtained to cover all the important topics in the syllabus and no time is wasted. While dividing time, it should be noted that hard topics or long topics are given more time than simple topics.
