How to Prepare for Orissa JEE?

The Orissa Government conduct joint entrance exam for various program like engineering, medical, pharmacy, management, architecture, computer applications and hotel management courses. A large  number of students appear for the exam every year. The minimum eligibility for appearing the exam is plus-two. Those who want to sit in the engineering exam need to study PCM in the secondary level with 50% mark in board exam and for the MBBS/BDS aspirants the required background is PCB. The students appearing for the final exams of higher secondary are also eligible to take the test.  The exams are normally held in the 3rd week of April.

Structure of Orissa JEE

The mode of the exam is objective type. It will carry multiple answers. The students need to select the write answer. There will be negative marking for the wrong answer. For the BE/B.Tech program the questions cover the areas of PCM and PCB for Medical. For the MBAprogram, the questions are asked about

  • General Awareness
  • Quantitative Aptitude Test
  • Test of English

Study Plan

The candidate should know each portion clearly. They have to prepare a time schedule to cover the portions. They can make use of the notes and short cut methods to do the mathematical parts. The aspirants should be thorough with the formulas and they should practice a number of mock test and go through the previous year question papers. There are lots of study materials available in market and internet and the students should make use of these resources also.
