The banking sector is booming and lots of opportunities are being created each year. The banks conduct entrance examination as per the available vacancies and we are used to the practice of each individual bank conducting its own clerical and PO exams. But now the scenario is going to change with the introduction of common entrance examination. 19 public sector banks are participating in this examination and the future vacancies arising in Probationary or the Management posts would be filled from the single rank list. The Common Written Examination is conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) and will be carried out twice every year.

Structure and Syllabus of IBPS CWE

The examination has two parts, the subjective and objective format. The objective part consists of 150 questions with 150 minutes and the subjective examination of 60 minutes consists of 50 questions.

• Reasoning: 50 questions
• English Language: 50 questions
• Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions
• General Awareness: 50 questions
• Computer Knowledge: 50 questions
• Descriptive Paper: 50 questions

There will be a penalty marking for each wrong answer and there will be reduction of 0.25 marks of the wrong answer.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum education qualification required is graduation from the recognized university. The candidates must be a Indian national and the minimum age limit is 20 and that of maximum is 30. There will be relaxation for the eligible category as per the notifications.

How to Apply?

The candidates can apply for the common entrance examination through the online offline mode. For to apply the candidates need to pay the application fee.450/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST) through the cash Voucher and with the voucher details apply online. They can also pay the fee by NEFT enabled branches of these public sector banks.

How to fill the Form?

After paying the fees the candidates are asked to visit the official website of IBPS for applying online. The pre-request for filling the form is the scanned signature and photo on the required format and size. There will be place for uploading these and the candidates must keep the fee payment information with them. The candidates must read the instruction given in the portal and then only started filling the application. The needed instructions were given in the official portal and the candidates can follow those.

The banking exam is known for the time management which is on of the essential requirement the candidates must keep focus. How and Where To Get the Results?

The candidates will get the result from the official website of IBPS by entering the DOB and exam roll number of ID. The eligible candidates will get the official information through their personal email ID.

Cutoff

The exams have sectional cutoffs and it will be announced only calculating the average performance of the candidates.

Score Validity

The score will valid for one year and the candidates can use the score when the participating banks are announcing the vacancies for the mentioned posts.
