Indira Gandhi National Open University or IGNOU is very much famous for its varieties of courses that it offers to the candidates. The University is also an idle place to undertake the course in the form of part time or correspondence type.

Division of the Paper:

There are sub parts or division in the papers. The paper does not carry any form of sections or unit in the entire length. There is only one question in the paper offering sub-parts.

Paper pattern:

The paper carries a maximum of ten questions, and candidates have to attempt any five. All the questions are Long answer based question. However the fifth question carries a maximum of three sub-parts, and candidates have to attempt any two, and have to answer them in about three hundreds words each. It is the only question in the paper, offering Internal Options. Apart from this question, the candidates have to answer all of the remaining questions in about six hundred words each.

Markings:

The maximum mark of the paper is one hundred, with each of the main question carrying twenty marks. The fifth question has three sub-parts, and each carries ten marks.

Time allotted for the examination:

The time allotted for the paper is three hours.
