Indian Institute of Banking and Finance is a premier institute in India offering Banking and finance Education in India. Indian Institute of Banking & Finance Exam (IIBF) is the entrance exam conducted by Indian Institute of Banking and Finance for the admission to the various Banking Diploma courses offered by the institute. This institute also provides some distant education courses. This institute has collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Punjab national bank institute of information technology (PNBIIT). The exam is conducted two times in a year. Large numbers of candidates have a dream to get a bank job and there are numerous applications are received by the institute.

Structure of IIBF Test

The IIBF written test includes 120 questions of multiple choice formats. The time allotted for completing the exam will be two hours. The questions in the test are mainly aims on Knowledge testing, Case analysis, Conceptual Grasp, Problem Solving Skill and Analytical and Logical reasoning. Those who pass the test will be eligible for getting admission for the courses. The exam carries 100 marks. The negative mark is awarded for the wrong answers as half of the inverse proportion of number of choices given to the question.

Syllabus for IIBF Test

The questions for the written test are from different areas of banking Sector. The syllabus for the exam is given below. The questions are from the following topics.

  • Section 1: Knowledge Testing
  • Section2: Conceptual Grasp
  • Section 3: Logical and Analytical Exposition
  • Section 4: Problem Solving
  • Section 5: Case Analysis

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have a Bachelors Degree Certificate in any Discipline from a UGC recognized University can apply for the IIBF exam. The students who are going to write their final year degree exam can also apply for the test. But they have to presents all their eligibility certificates at the time of their admission process.

How to Apply?

The IIIF application form will be available in the website www.iibf.org.in. The candidates can download the application form and use it. The exam fee for the first chance of the exam is Rs.3200/- and for the second attempt is Rs.800/-.The candidates can pay the application fee by the online method. The candidates can also pay the fee in any Axis Bank branch using the Challan form. They can also pay the fee by the Demand Draft method. A demand draft is taken in favor of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance in Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai or New Delhi. The fee paid once cannot be refunded.

How to fill the Form?

The instructions for filling the online application form will be given in their official website. The candidates should fill the form by following theses guide lines. All the details of the form should be complete in all respects. Incomplete application forms will be rejected. The candidates should fill the fee payment details in the application form. The name of the bank, DD number etc should be mentioned correctly. The form should be mailed to any of the zonal offices of IIIB in Chennai, New Delhi, Kolkata or Mumbai. The form received after the due date will be considered for the next exam.
