Sikkim Public Service Commission shortly called as SPSC came into existence under Article 315 of the Indian Constitution and it consists of a chairman and a member. The commission is entrusted with the responsibility of conducting recruitment drives in the state of Sikkim through competitive examinations.

Recruitment by SPSC:

Sikkim Public Service Commission has called for applications from graduate teachers working on regular basis in the Government Schools under HRD department of Sikkim Government with not less than eight year of service.

Name of the Position: Inservice Regular Graduate Teachers

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 38, which is divided as follows:

 Mathematics – 03

 Chemistry – 02

 Biology – 01

 Physics – 03

 History – 03

 Geography – 03

 Political science – 03

 Economics – 02

 Nepali – 04

 Hindi – 04

 Commerce – 02

 English – 08

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get a pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 plus GP of Rs.5000, which comes under PB-2

Eligibility Details:

Education: For applying to the position of Regular Graduate Teachers, candidates must have completed their PG degree in appropriate discipline with B. Ed.

Experience: Candidates must have eight years as regular graduate teachers in government schools as on the 30th of June 2011

Age: There is not age bar

Selection Procedure:

Written test will be the initial process of selection, which will have three papers (400 marks in total) and after this succeeding candidates will have to take up personality/classroom demonstration test, which will be conducted for 50 marks.

Cost of Application:

The cost of application of Rs. 150 should be credited to 0051-SPSC in State Bank of Sikkim.

Candidates can download the application from the website of SPSC at www.spscskm.gov.in and duly filled in form should be submitted by the candidates to the office of the Joint Director of HRDD in their respective districts with original bank receipt for the fee mentioned above. Filled in application should be submitted before 05th of August 2011 before 3.00 pm.
