Institute of Management Development and Research – IMDR was the first management institute to be set up in the city of Pune. It was established in the year 1977.

IMDR offers 3 post graduate programs in Management, Human Resources and International Trade. The other courses offered by IMDR include part time courses for working people and training programs for professionals.

IMDR is also in association with ESSCA, which is one of the leading business schools of France. The institutes have a student exchange program also.

One of the courses offered by IMDR is a two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management. This course is designed on the basis of Instructional Systems Design Methodology (ISDM). The program is designed in such a way that it integrates various disciplines of management.

The students are also given the opportunity to take part in extracurricular activities apart from the normal classes.

The eligibility for the course is graduation in any discipline from any recognized university with at least 50% marks. The Institute considers the CAT score for the screening purpose. The shortlisted candidates are called for a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. Based on the performance in the GD and PI candidates are shortlisted for admission to IMDR.
