The Andhra University carries out the integrated common entrance Test, ICET. The examination is meant for the future professional of Computer application and Business administration. The technical and management institutes in AP are taking this test score for the admission process. The examination is controlled and monitored by the state Governing body, Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE). The qualified candidates of the examination will get admission into the institute under APSCHE for MCA and MBA courses.  Every year a huge number of aspirants are participating in this exam for making their career path in the corporate and IT field.

Basic Eligibility for Integrated Common Entrance Test

The applicant should be a citizen of India and local status necessities of the Andhra government should be fulfilled. Admittance to any institute depends on the requirements of the specific institutes and universities.  Aspirant must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution of higher education in Andhra Pradesh. Students attending their last year degree exam too can apply. Those with BOL and BFA are not eligible to attempt the exam.

Age Qualification for Integrated Common Entrance Test

The candidate who is applying for the ICET examination should not be above the age of 21.

Who can apply for Integrated Common Entrance Test

All Indians who possess the above mentioned criterion only need to apply for the exam. For foreigners who wish to join the course, entrance examination is conducted separately.

Examination pattern

The exam pattern is designed in such a method that the talent of the student can be correctly measured. The test is objective type containing multiple choices. Questions related to reasoning, arithmetical ability and verbal ability are included in the exam. Test duration is for 2 ½ hours. The candidates need to choose only one right answer. Multiple answers will be rejected. The questions are divided into different sections. Separate marks are fixed for each section. Total marks will be 200.

Important dates:

  • Date of Entrance Examination: last week of May
  • Availability of Application Forms: fourth week of February
  • Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: fourth week of April

How to apply for Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET)?

Applicant can chose either on-line method or off line method to apply, based on their convenience. Applications can be collected from the head post office of Andhra Pradesh or from the e-seva centers. Particulars about the application are available in the exam notification. The candidates can register to the examination by the online mode through the authorized website of the exam.
