Staff Selection Commission was initially named as Subordinate Services Commission. The major functions of the commission includes making recruitments in various ministeries under Government of India. The commission is consists of a Chairman as the head and two members. A Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations is also an important post in the commission. The Commission has its headquarter located at New Delhi. The commission actually conducts of examinations for the recruitment of people in various ministeries under the Government of India.

Job Profile:

Applications in the prescribed performa are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the post of Intelligence Officer Assistant in Narcotics Control Bureau. Staff Selection Commission will be holding an All India Examination for making the recruitment to the posts of Intelligence Officer Assistant in Narcotics Control Bureau. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed instructions available on the website of commission.

Eligibility:

The very first eligibility condition for the interested candidates is that the candidates should be either a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan etc. Candidates must possess the minimum age limit set for the post i.e. atleast 20 years. The maximum age limit set for the post of Intelligence Officer Assistant in Narcotics Control Bureau is 27 years ason the clsoing date for the reciept of application. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 25 June 1986 and not later than 23 June 1991. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, will get relaxation of few years in the maximum age limit set for the post of Intelligence Officer Assistant in NCB.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent is required for applying for the post of Intelligence Officer Assistant in Narcotics Control Bureau. Candidates not fulling this minimum educational qualification condition, should not apply for the post as applications from uneligible candidates will not be entertained and infact will get summarily rejected by the commission.

No. of posts: Total 100 posts are available.

General Category candidates: Total 51 posts are available.
SC Category candidates: Total 15 posts are available.
ST Category candidates: Total 7 posts are available.
OBC Category candidates: Total 27 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

Application Fee:

The application fee of requisite amount is required to be submitted by the means of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps only. CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. The amount of application fee for General and OBC categories candidates is Rs. 100. However, Women/SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serviceman candidates are exempted from the payment of this application fee.

Selection Process:

Candidate’s selection on the above specified positions will be made on the basis of their performance in the written examination followed by a personal interview test and medical fitness test. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated in personal for the interview and medical fitness test.

How to apply:

Online Mode:

For applying online, candidates should visit the registrating link available on the official website of Staff Selection Commission. Candidates can apply online at the webiste on or before the last date i.e. 21 June 2011.

Offline Mode:

Completeled application form is required to be submitted in the prescribed format only. Applications alongwith the other required enclosures should reach to the prescribed address on or before 24 June 201. Candidates from far flung areas are required to submit their applications before 1 July 2011. Applications must reacht to any of the nine regional or sub offices of Staff Selection Commission.
