The admission test will be an online one comprising of objective type questions. The questions for the test will be from the general aptitude, qualitative, quantitative and very basic programming ability sections. There will be total of 105 questions which have to be completed with in 2 hours.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualification for International Institute of Information Technology - IIIT Bangalore M.Tech Entrance Exam is a first class in 4 year bachelor’s degree in engineering. The candidates who have passed their M.Sc or MCA degree can also apply. Final year students may also apply provided they can submit all their certificates at the time of admission. A minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent grade is also required in 10th and 12th standards as well. The candidates with GATE score and GRE score may be eligible for waiver of Entrance Examination.

The application form can also be obtained by post for which a request letter has to be sent. The same can be downloaded from the website http://www.iiitb.ac.in also. The application fee of the exam is Rs. 250/- which has to be paid by all the applicants. Entrance exam fee of Rs. 750/- needs to be paid by those who have not obtained entrance exam waiver. It has to be paid only by those who are appearing for the online entrance test. The fee payment can be done in the form of demand daft or can be directly paid at any of the concerned SBI branches. While making the payment via demand draft, the DD has to be taken in favor of International Institute of Information Technology payable at Bangalore. For cash payment at SBI, download the SBI Pay-in-slip which is available in the official website of the Institute. The duly filled application form along with the required enclosures has to be sent to International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore, 26/C, Electronics City, Hosur Road, Bangalore – 560100 on or before the due date.
