The college was constructed in the year 1993 as a women’s college with the objective of encouraging higher education among women. Minimum educational qualification required for admission:
For the Bachelor of Physical Education and Education courses, candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline with not less than 50% of marks. For BCA and BBA courses, candidates must have completed their intermediate level course with not less than 45% of marks. For courses like B. Sc, B.A and B. Com, they must have completed their intermediate level with a minimum of 40% of marks. As far as Master’s degree admission in the science and arts stream, candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree in respective area with a minimum of 50% of marks and for M. Ed they must have completed their B. Ed with not less than 55% of marks.
Sports Council at Jhunjhunwala P.G. College:
The sports council functioning at the college organizes different games with the objective of making the students physically active and to develop the sports spirit among them. The college has a spacious playground with facilities to play games like basketball, volleyball, badminton and indoor games like carom and chess. The students of the college have won several awards in the games like basketball, chess and badminton.
