JMET 2009-2010

Joint Management Entrance Test(JMET) is an entrance exam for admission in Post Graduation management courses in IITs for students having an engineering degree or Master’s degree in science. Though IITs are primarily premium engineering institutes but still due to brand name and credibility the management courses in IITs are also considered to be prestigious. Since the management courses in IITs are only for engineering and Post Graduate Science students the management courses are specially designed for them.

Presently management courses in IITs are available in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kanpur, Kharagpur and Roorkee. In addition NIT calicut also uses JMET scores for admission in its MBA programme. All these institutes use JMET scores for shortlisting candidates who can apply for their management programmes. Final selection depends on each institute’s own criteria which includes Personal Interview, Group Discussion, 10th, 12th and Graduation marks, Work experience etc.
