Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) is supported by Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Orissa limited (IPICOL), MMTC Ltd and other government agencies. The basic products of NINL are granulated slag, ammonium sulphate, crude tar, coke breeze, nut coke and LAM coke. NINL is planning to produce billets, bars and wire rods in future. Pig iron and LAM coke produced by NINL are widely accepted in domestic and international markets. The company has its own captive power plant in order to meet the internal power requirement of the state. It also owns the pride of becoming India’s largest exporter of saleable pig iron from the year 2004.
