Banaras Hindu University was established in the year 1916 in Varanasi, India. It is a central university with around 12 thousand studnets residing in the campus of the university. Dr. Karan Singh is the Chancellor of the university while Professor D.P. Singh is the Vice Chancellor of the university. The campus of the university is spreaded in the area of around 1350 acres. The university was founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya under the Parliamentary Legislation.
