Parliament of India is a bicameral type of legislative body of the Federal Government of the Republic of India. It is actually the supreme legislative body of the Republic of India. The Parliament of India is comprises of Office of President of India and two other chambers (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha). All the members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are referred as Member of Parliament and the selections of the member of Parliament of Lok Sabha is done through the direct election method. Mohammed Hamid Ansari is the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha as well as Vice President of India.

Job Profile:

Parliament of India is looking forward to recruit eligible and qualified candidates on the following vacant position of Junior Clerk. Only eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the post of Junior Clerk in Lok Sabha Secretariat. Candidates must ensure their eligibility for the specified position before applying for it.

Eligibility:

Candidates must follow the age criteria set for the post of Junior Clerk in the Lok Sabha Secretariat of Parliament of India. THe maximum age limit set for the post is 27 years. So all interested candidates must have age below than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 27 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories candidates may get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit. Candidates having age more than 27 years (and also does not belong to any reserved categories) are advised to not to apply for the specified post. The reserved categories candidates will get relaxation of few years as per thr ules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to possess the minimum educational qualification set for the post i.e. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. The bachelor’s degree should be done by candidates from a rcognized university of India. Besides possessing bachelor’s degree, candidates should also have a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute. However, those candidates, who have a typing speed of 40 words per minute in both English and Hindi , will get preference over others at the time of final selections.

Candidates possessing certificate in computer course recognized by All India Council of Technical Education are desirable for the post.

No. of posts: Total 22 posts are available.

All the available posts are unreserved. However, only 1 post is reserved for the Physically Handicapped candidates.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

Selection Process:

The selection process includes both a Written Examination/ Typing Test followed by a Personal Interview Test. The written examination includes two stages i) Preliminary examination, which consists of questions related to General Knowledge & Current Affairs and General English, ii) Descriptive Written examination and Typing Test, which consists of Essay Writing, Letter Writing and a Typing Test.

How to apply: The envelope containing the completed application form and the other required enclosures should be superscribed with the name of the post applied for and advertisement Number.
