Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board is a responsible authority which was established under the Government of India. The major function or operation of the board is to make recruitment of the eligible and qualified candidates on several government positions. Theses selection are made by the board through the conduct of competitive written examination and personal interview test for the interested canddiates. Only qualified candidates of these tests are selected by the board.

Job Profile:

Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board is going to conduct competitive examination for making recruitment of eligible Indian nationals on the following vacant posts of Junior Engineer, Clersk, Steno Typist, Junior Scale Stenographer and Ayurvedic Pharmacist in various departments of Government of Himachal Pradesh. The recruitment of eligible candidates will be made purely on contractual basis. The posts of Junior Engineer are available in the disciplines of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

1. Recruitment of Junior Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical):
No. of posts: Only 46 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age in between 18 to 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have done Matric or Higher Secondary or its equiavlent from a recognized board or university. Candidate should also have done Diploma in the relavnt trade or its equivalent from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

2. Recruitment of Clerks (in Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited):
No. of posts: Only 25 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age in between 18 to 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 12th Standard or its equiavlent from a recognized board or university with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Candidate should also have passed ‘o’ level computer course from a recognized institute.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

3. Recruitment of Steno Typist (in Labour & Employment):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age in between 18 to 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 12th Standard or its equiavlent from a recognized board or university. Candidate should also possess minimum 60 words per minute in English and Hindi shorthand.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

4. Recruitment of Junior Scale Stenographer (in Department of Election):
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age in between 18 to 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 12th Standard or its equiavlent from a recognized board or university. Candidate should also possess minimum 80 words per minute in English Shorthand and 70 words per minute in Hindi shorthand.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

5. Recruitment of Ayurvedic Pharmacist (in Department of Ayurveda):
No. of posts: Only 237 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age in between 18 to 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 12th Standard or its equiavlent from a recognized board or university. Candidate should also have completed training of atleast two years duration in Ayurvedic Pharmacist from a recognized institute.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

How to apply: Candidates can obtain the application form in the prescribed format from the post offices or sub post offices located in state of Himachal Pradesh after the payment of Rs. 170 (Rs. 65 for reserved categories candidates of Himachal Pradesh). All enclosures alongwith the completed application form should be sent in an envelope.
