Kalasalingam University conducts an entrance exam for admission to its B.Tech Program every year. Kalasalingam University was founded in 1984  by Kalasalingam and Anandam Ammal Charities as Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering (AKCE). It got recognition by UGC as a University in 2006 and subsequently got renamed as Kalasalingam University. It is located in Southern Tamil Nadu amongst natural surroundings and serene atmosphere.

Kalasalingam University offers B.Tech in nine branches for which an entrance test is conducted. Admission to B.Tech in Kalasalingam University is based on the entrance test as well as marks scored in +2. For admission 200/300 marks are based on +2 marks and 100/300 marks are based on score in the entrance test. Therefore a candidate needs to perform well both in the entrance test as well as in +2.

Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2/Diploma or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and 60% aggregate marks in PCM. Candidates applying for B.Tech Biotechnology should have Physics, Chemistry & Biology with atleast 60% aggregate marks in PCB. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2010 can also apply. Also a candidate should not be more than 21 years. There is no age limit for SC/ST.

Availability of Application forms:

The forms for Kalasalingam University will be available from the University and also from the selected Indian Bank branches and Post Offices. The form can also be obtained by post from Kalasaligam University by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. Candidates can also download the form through the website kalasalingam.ac.in.
