Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College is offering nursing education with the affiliation from Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University and the college was established in the year 2000 with the objective of offering expert and dedicated nurses to the society.

Courses offered:

The College is offering the following nursing courses:

• Post Basic Bachelor of Nursing

• Bachelor of Nursing

• Master of Nursing

The nursing courses offered by the college are approved by Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council and Nursing Council of India.

Eligibility for admission:

For all three courses, candidates must be medically fit. The other requirements are given below:

Master of Nursing:

For PG course in nursing, candidates must be registered midwives or nurses or must have equivalent qualification from any registered nursing council. The minimum educational qualification for PG course is that candidates must have completed their B. Sc hons./general Post Basic B. Sc in nursing with not less than 55% of marks from an institution approved by the Indian Nursing Council. Candidates falling under SC/ST category are allowed 5% of relaxation in required marks. Candidates should also possess one-year work experience before or after Post Basic B. Sc course/one year work experience after Basic B. Sc nursing course. There is not upper age limit for admission to this course.

Bachelor of Nursing:

For this course, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination conducted by any approved university/board with not less than 50% of aggregate marks in chemistry, English, physics and biology (40% in case of candidates falling under SC/St category). For this course, candidates must not be more than 17 years of age on the 31st of December of the year in which they are seeking admission.

Post Basic Bachelor of Nursing:

For this course, candidates must have completed their senior secondary/higher secondary/intermediate course from a recognized university. Candidates who have obtained a certificate in midwifery & general nursing and candidates who are registered midwives/nurses can apply to this course. Candidates should also have minimum two years of working experience in a hospital.
