Katras College located at Katrasgarh was founded in the year 1964 on the 26th of June with the support extended by the local people. The college was established with the objective of offering excellent high-quality education to students belonging to all categories and the college is coming under the jurisdiction of Vinoba Bhave University located at Hazaribag. Initially, the college was affiliated to Ranchi University and after the establishment of Vinoba Bhave University, the college came under its jurisdiction.
