Bank of Maharashtra begun its operations in the year 1936 on the 08th of February in the city of Pune and its second branch was opened in the year 1938 at the city of Bombay. Bank of Maharashtra has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Law Officer:

Name of the position: Law Officer (MMGS-II)

Number of Vacancies: 38 (15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC and 3% on horizon basis)

Pay Scale: MMGS Scale II pay scale applicable to the position of law officer is Rs.19400-700/1-20100-800/10-28100. Retirement benefits, house rent reimbursement, Leave Fare concession and medical aid and other perquisites are also applicable to the candidates.

Eligibility requirement:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be graduates/post graduates in law with not less than 60% of marks (55% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates with other qualifications like Diploma in management, computer, CS and CA will be given preference.

Age requirement: Minimum age requirement is 25 years and maximum age requirement is 35 years as on the 31st of December 2010

Experience: Candidates must possess three years experience as registered practitioners or three years experience of working as law officer in any financial institution/commercial banks.

Selection procedure:

The process of selection of candidates for the position of Law Officer might comprise small written test on case study to judge the concept of law, logic, reasoning capacity and writing skill of the candidates. Other than written test, there will be group discussion on given topic pertaining to banking & law and personal interview by a panel of personnel including bank executives and advocate/retires law executive.
