Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, which is also called as MH CET is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra for admission of students to a number of degree courses in the faculties of pharmacy, engineering and health sciences.

Eligibility requirement to apply for MH-CET examination:

Any Indian national, who has completed his/her class 12 board examination with mathematics, chemistry, physics and English subjects are eligible to apply for the MH-CET examination. However, they must have secured not less than 50% of aggregate marks in these subjects; this percentage requirement is 45% in the case of candidates belonging to the backward classes domiciled in the state of Maharashtra. Even candidates who have completed their diploma in engineering from a recognized polytechnic with not less than 50% of marks are eligible to apply for MHCET exam.

Reservation of seats are not applicable to students belonging to other states and they all will be treated as general category students and they can get admission only to private engineering colleges and not government colleges based on their score in MH-CET.
