Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology is one of the premier self-financing institutions in the state of Andhra Pradesh and the institute is offering education with affiliation from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University located in Hyderabad. The institute has also earned accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation for all the courses offered by it. The institute began its journey in the year 1997 and it was established by the Chaitanya Bharathi Educational Society.

Admission of students to the aforesaid courses offered by the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology is done based on the EAMCET score secured by the students.

Objective of MGIT:

The primary objective of MGIT is to impart value-based education to the future generations of the nation. The management of the institution works with the vision of striving for excellence and the management extends their advice and support to the student committees in organizing conferences, festivals, cultural and technical events to ensure overall development of the students.

Infrastructure at the institute:

The management has provided the institution with state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities and there are well-equipped, spacious and modern laboratories like physics lab, English language lab, metallurgy labs, mechanical labs, computer labs, electrical and electronics labs, etc…  The majestic and opulent infrastructure in all the branches of engineering stands as a proof of efforts, commitment and zeal of the management. The institute also has an auditorium that can accommodate 300 people at a time.

Library & Information Centre at the institute:

Library at the MGIT has a collection of more than 30,000 books under more than 7500 different titles. The library is subscribing for about 78 national journals and 23 international journals. It also has more than 1000 project reports, 2500 CDs and DVDs, 32 magazines and 465 bound volumes of journals.
