Delhi Police was formed in the year 1861 as the main law and order agency for the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The department was established after the adoption of the Indian Police Act. Delhi Police was a part of the Punjab Police until India gained independence in 1947. Four Delhi Police divisions were created in the year 1966. The department is headed by the Police Commissioner of Delhi. The department has total strength of more than 57500 persons working in it.
Job Profile:
Applications are invited from eligible and qualified Indian Nationals for filling up the vacant posts of Constable (Executive) male in Delhi Police. The recruitment process of the candidates for the specified position will be conducted or held at Delhi only. Interested candidates must ensure their eligibility in advance before applying for the specified post.
Eligibility:
The minimum age limit set for the post of Constable (Executive) Male is 18 years as on 1 July 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Constable (Executive) Male is 21 years as on 1 July 2011.
The age relaxation is provided for the candidates belonging to reserved categories. Reserved categories candidates will get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government of India. Sportsmen, Ex-Serviceman and Departmental candidates will also get relaxation in the maximum age limit set for the post.
Educational Qualification:
Interested candidates must possess the prescribed minimum educational qualification required for applying for the post of Constable (Executive) Male in Delhi Police. The minimum educational qualification required for the post is 10+2 or Senior Secondary from a recognized board. Aspiring candidates must also possess a valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicle (Motor Cycle or Car). Only those candidates, who fulfills the conditions of educational qualification, will be considered eligible for the post.

Pay Scale: Candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000. Candidates will also be provided other allowances as admissible.
Application Fee:
Candidates (only General and OBC candidates) are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 100 only. No fee is required to be submitted by SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman candidates. The application fee must be paid through a Demand Draft or Banker’s cehque. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of DP/ Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi. Submission of application fee is must for General and OBC candidates.

The application form, demand draft of requisite amount and copies of certificates or testimonials are required to be sent in an envelope only. The envelope must reach to the following address:
