Scope of MCA from Chattisgarh:
Increasing state infrastructure is driving Technology companies towards Chattisgarh. An MCA from any good institute from Chattisgarh will equip the students with skills in system Management, Networking and Database Management, Programming and System Administration. Students find themselves absorbed as programmers and systems Analyst in many of the leading IT and ITES companies in India.
Entrance Test and Eligibility:
Students have to take the qualifying test C –PMCA (Chattisgarh Pre MCA). The test is conducted by Guru Ghaidas University. Students need to secure a minimum of 50 percent in their graduation. Students of BCA, B Tech, BE (Computer Science) can apply for the test. Also students who have done B Sc in any discipline with Mathematics as a core subject can also apply. SC / ST students have a relaxation of 5 percent marks. Part time MCA is also provided by many universities. However, the students need to have a minimum experience of three years to qualify for Part Time MCA. Forms for the entrance test are released on the first week of May. The exams are held in the 2nd week of June.
Career Prospects:
Every Institute s their own placement cell. Normally companies prefer Campus recruitment and conduct annual placement drives In these colleges. Students normally find themselves in entry level trainee positions and progress accordingly on their merit.
