Coal India Limited is a state owned public enterprise which came into existence in the year 1975. The headquarter of the company is located at Kolkata. Mr. N. C. Jha is the Chairman and Managing Director of the company. Initially, the company was owned by the Union Government of India. The company was conferred the Maharatna status by the Union Government of India in the April month of year 2011. The company was initially formed with the name of Coal Mines Authority Limited but later it was changed to Coal India Limited in the year 1975.

Job Profile:

Coal India Limited invites applications in the prescribed format from eligible Indian Nationals for making recruitment of Medical Executives on the positions of Medical Specilaist, General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) and GDMO (Specialist). The position of Medical Specialist is available in the disciplines of Medicine, Orthopedics, Radiology, Anesthesia, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Pulmonary Medicine.

1. Recruitment of Medical Specialist:
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set is 35 years as on 31 March 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have done MBBS from a recognized institute or college approved by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council with Post Graduation degree or Diploma in concerned discipline.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 24900-50500 per month.

2. Recruitment of GDMO (Specialist):
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set is 30 years as on 31 March 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have done MBBS from a recognized institute or college approved by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council with Post Graduation degree or Diploma in concerned discipline.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 20200-46500 per month.

3. Recruitment of General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO):
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set is 30 years as on 31 March 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have done MBBS from a recognized institute or college approved by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council atleast 60% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 20200-46500 per month.
