Science graduates in streams like Biology, Animal Sciences, and Zoology can pursue M.Sc in Anatomy course in Madras University.  Admission to the course is offered on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the Department of Anatomy. Selected candidates can pursue the course by paying Rs. 3000/- annually as tuition fee.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc in Anatomy in Madras University

Bachelor degree in Science is the basic qualification required. The degree must be obtained with Zoology, Botany, or Chemistry as main or optional subjects. Those who possess bachelor’s degree in any of the following subjects are also eligible to apply.

  • Life Sciences
  • Animal Sciences
  • Biology
  • Medicine (MBBS)
  • Unani Medicine & Surgery (B.U.M.S)
  • Siddha Medical Science (B.S.M.S)
  • Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S)
  • Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery (B.H.M.S)

Admission Process for M.Sc in Anatomy

Selection process is carried out on the basis of candidate’s performance in an entrance exam. The exam is conducted by the Department of Anatomy, University of Madras. The exam is usually conducted in the month of May.

Candidate should send a request in order to attend the entrance test. Application form for the same can be collected from the official portal of Madras University. Application fee for attending the entrance test is Rs.300/-. This must be paid as DD and must be sent along with a filled up application form.

  • Registration Fee: Rs. 120/-
  • Library fee: Rs. 240/- per annum
  • Sports Fee: Rs. 25/- per annum
  • Special Fee: Rs. 300/- per annum
  • Placement Fee: Rs. 150/-
  • Cultural & Youth Festival Fee: Rs. 35/-
  • Development of Infrastructural Facilities Fund: Rs. 35/-
  • Laboratory Fee: Rs. 1000/- per annum
  • Special Laboratory Fee: Rs. 1000/- per annum
  • Special Computer Lab Fee: Rs. 1000/- per annum
  • Caution Deposit: Rs. 700/-
  • Matriculation fee: Rs. 50/-
  • Internet Fee: Rs. 500/-
  • ID and Smart Card: Rs. 100/-
  • Safety Insurance: Rs. 100/-
  • Total fee: Rs. 8355/-

Fee structure for Second and Third Year

  • Tuition Fee: Rs. 3000/- per annum
  • Library fee: Rs. 240/- per annum
  • Sports Fee: Rs. 25/- per annum
  • Special Fee: Rs. 300/- per annum
  • Laboratory Fee: Rs. 1000/- per annum
  • Special Laboratory Fee: Rs. 1000/- per annum
  • Special Computer Lab Fee: Rs. 1000/- per annum
  • Internet Fee: Rs. 500/- per annum
  • Safety Insurance: Rs. 100/-
  • Total Fee: Rs. 7165/-

Certain fees like Placement Fee, Infrastructural Development Fee, Youth Festival Fee, etc must be paid at the time of admission only. Caution deposit should also be paid at admission time and it is refundable also. Fee structure mentioned here is subjected to change from time to time.
