Candidates who have completed gradation in science subjects or Post Graduate Diploma in wine technology are eligible to pursue M.Sc in Wine Technology in Vasantdada Sugar Institute. Apart from these, candidates will have to study any of the following subjects in their final semester.

  • CHEM-CAD design (CCD)
  • Advance Brewing Technology
  • Advance Enology
  • Second Generation Biofuels

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed graduation in science subjects such as Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Wine Technology are eligible to study Master of Science in Wine Technology. Candidates who have completed Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Fermentation and Distillation and Wine Technology are also eligible for this course. Apart from this candidates who have completed BE/ B.Tech from recognized University are also eligible for this course. Candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate in qualifying examination. Candidates belonging to reserved category require 45 % marks in aggregate to be eligible.

Admission process for M.Sc in Wine Technology in Vasantdada Sugar Institute

Admission to the post graduate programme in Wine Technology is carried out on the basis of scores obtained by candidates in the entrance exam conducted by the affiliating University. Entrance test will contain objective type multiple choice questions. There will be 40 questions from General Chemistry, 40 questions from Biological Sciences and 20 questions from General English. Each question carries one mark. Questions asked will be of under graduate level. Total marks for the test is 100. Final selection will be based on the composite score obtained by candidates in qualifying degree examination, entrance test and personal interview.

The average Tuition Fees for the course is Rs 25,000/- per semester.
