NIT 2010 National Institute of Technology
National institute of technology are among the most sought after institutes in India among the students aspiring for engineering courses. The earlier known as regional engineering college are now called NITs. For admissions to NITs it is compulsory for the student to give AIEEE examination. For any details about AIEEE consult the official website of the AIEEE or CBSE, which conducts the AIEEE examination all over India.

1. Date of sale of application form of AIEEE 2010: 1st week of December 2009 to mid of January 2010.
2. Last date of form submission: Mid of January 2010
3. Date of examination of AIEEE: 25 April, 2010 (Sunday)
Last Week of July, 2010 – commencement of B.Tech and B.Arch classes
Last Week of July, 2010 — commencement of classes of M.Tech 3rd semester students
Last Week of July, 2010 – deadline for registration of courses for B.Tech and B.Arch
First Week of August, 2010 – reporting date for M.Tech, MS &PhD students
Second Week Of August, 2010 – late date for registration of courses for M.Tech, MS & PhD students
Please take care that the dates are only proposed (except for the date of examination), these are not final. The post will be updated as soon as the dates are released officially.
Availability of Application Forms:
Application forms for the AIEEE examinations, the gateway to NITs, can be availed very easily by downloading from the official website of the CBSE or AIEEE. The forms can also be collected in person from the Syndicate bank. The forms are not available in every branch, and the details can be availed from the official website of CBSE.
Cost of the Forms:
The application forms costs Rs 450 for the general class of students and Rs 225 only for OBC and ST/SC. If one needs to apply for the test for both B.Tech and B.Arch, he or she needs to pay an additional sum of Rs 300 (150 for OBC, ST, and SC).
