Structure of Osmania University Ph.D in Psychology Entrance Exam

The questions of this exam will be of objective type with multiple choices. The medium of instruction of the exam will be English. The total time duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. The candidate has to score at least 30% marks to clear this exam. However the reserved category candidates have a relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks required to apply for this exam. The final round before admission will be a face to face interview.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate who holds a post graduate degree in Psychology from any recognized University is eligible to apply for this exam.
• They should score at least 55% marks to be eligible to appear for this exam.
• The candidates who obtained this degree through distance mode are also allowed to apply for this exam if that University is recognized by Distance Education council (DEC) which is located at New Delhi.

How to apply?

The application form as well as brochure can be acquired from Director, Department of Publications and Press, Osmania University. The cost of the form will be Rs.100/-. They can collect the form through post also. In this method they have to send a request along with a DD of Rs.100/- in favour of “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University” which is payable at Hyderabad. The candidate is supposed to send the completely filled application form along with a DD of Rs. 550/- in favour of “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University” which is payable at Hyderabad to The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Near University Press, Osmania University.

How to fill the Form?

The candidate should go through the entire instruction bulletin given in the exam brochure before filling up the form. They should write their name in block letters and it should match with that in the original documents. They should mention their contact details, date of birth, category, and qualification details without making any mistakes. Their signature should match with that in the original documents. They must also affix their recent passport size photographs in the appropriate places provided.
