The pay scale fixed for the position of auditors in government organization is Rs. 5200-20200+ Grade pay of Rs. 2800. This pay scale is fixed for the position of Group C auditors by government organizations according to the directions of the pay commission.

Age Criteria:

Normally, Government Organizations recruit candidates between the age group of 18 and 27 years for the position of Auditors. Some government organizations require that candidates should be citizens of India and some companies recruit candidates belonging to neighboring countries as well.

Educational Requirement:

For the position of Auditors, candidates must be graduates preferably in the commerce stream and most of the government organizations give preference to the candidates with computer-based accountancy knowledge. Even some organizations recruit candidates with diploma in accountancy for the position of auditors. Some organizations also require that the candidate should be a member of the Chartered Accountants of India (i.e.) candidates should have completed their Chartered Accountancy.

Selection process:

In most of the government organizations, selection of candidates for the position of auditors is done through written examination to test the mathematical and arithmetic ability of candidates. Some organizations, also select candidates based on their performance in the personal interview.

Auditing is a demanding position sector that requires great attention to detail. As mentioned earlier, every organization need auditors for evaluating their accounts and therefore a person who have a job in this position will sure be able to have a bright future.
