Pay scale for the position of Medical Physicist in Government organizations in India is Rs.15600-39100 plus a GP of Rs.8000. However, some organizations pay a different pay scale for example around Rs.5000.

Educational qualification needed for the position of Medical Physicist:

To apply for the position of Medical Physicist, candidates must have completed their Master of Science in Medical Physics from a recognized university or institution. If a candidate is interested in taking up medical physics as profession, they must concentrate in general physics at their higher secondary level and should also focus on electronics and computer science.

Age requirement:

The maximum age requirement for the position of Medical Physicist in government organizations is 35 years. The minimum age limit is normally 21 years as in most of the positions.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates for the position of Medical Physicist in government-run medical institutions is based on their performance in the written test and interview. While some organizations follow interview alone as the criteria for selection of candidates.
