Placement Process in Northern India Engineering College (NIEC)

The Training and Placement cell is the responsible authority which co ordinates a range of activities related to campus placement. The Placement process conducted in NIEC include the following procedures –

Pre - Placement Talk – This is the first step in the placement process. The top and potential companies will be invited to the campus to hold Pre – Placement talks. As part of this, students will get a fair idea about the specific recruiting firm and different types of positions that are vacant for which the recruitment process is organized. Through this plat form, students get an opportunity to interact with the company professionals and get detailed information about the specific work culture.

Resumes Submission – Based on the pre – placement talks, students need to submit resumes for specific posts vacant in the visited company.

Short listing of Candidates – On the basis of the resumes submitted, the companies will short list candidates for recruitment process. Selection for specific posts will be made on the basis of educational qualifications, marks obtained, key skills and interest.

Campus Recruitment – The recruiting firms will inform in advance to the Training and Placement cell about the date, time and process of recruitment. The recruitment process will normally involve – Group Discussion, Case Studies, Written test, Personal interview etc.
