Allahabad Bank was established in the year 1865 under the Government of India. The bank has a huge number of branches all over India and also outside India as well. The bank is considered as one of the leading bank present in the country. The bank is mainly famous for incorporating many new facilities and banking services to its customers. The present headquarters of the bank is located in Kolkata. The bank is well known for providing excellent facilities to both customers as well as the employees. Mr. K. R. Kamath is the present chairman of the bank.

Job Profile:

Allahabad Bank invites online applications from Indian Citizens (who meets with all the eligibility conditions) for filling up the vacant posts of Probationary Officers. Selected candidates will have to serve the bank by performing the regular work of probationary officers.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Probationary Officer in Allahabad Bank is 21 years. The maximum age limit set for the specified post is 30 years as on 1 January 2011. Relaxation will be provided to the reserved category candidates as per the rules of Government of India. Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC and ST category candidates. Only 3 years of age relaxation will be provided to OBC category candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation in any discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a university recogzined by Government of India. SC/ST candidates are required to have atleast 50% marks in aggregate in the Graduation degree. Candidates should also possess Diploma in Computer operations from NIIT, SSI, Aptech, CMC, DOEACC etc. Candidates are required to have any of such computer qualification for applying on the specified post in Allahabad Bank.

No. of posts: There are total 1500 posts available.

For General category candidates: 755 posts.
For SC category candidates: 225 posts.
For ST category candidates: 115 posts.
For OBC category candidates: 405 posts.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be given the consolidated amount of salary i.e. Rs. 14500-25700 per month.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to download the fees payment challan. The fees payment challan should be deposited alongwith the application fee in the designated account no. 50048377141 of any branch of Allahabad Bank. The application fee need to be submitted by General category candidates is Rs. 400. SC/ST/PC candidates are required to submit the application fee of amount Rs. 50. Candidates obtain Candidate’s and Examination Hall copy of the fee payment challan duly reciepted by the bank.

Selection Process:

The selection process comprises of two stages:
i. Written Test (comprises of objective questions).
ii. Interview test of qualified candidates of written test.

Final selection of candidates will be made only on the basis of a result of written test and personal interview test.

How to apply: Candidates should apply online only through Allahabad Bank’s website. No other means or modes of application will be accepted by the bank. Candidates are required to retain the registration number and password for future reference. The printout of the complete application form is also need to be retained by the candidates.
