The course is available in streams such as Biotechnology, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechatronics. HSC passed candidates with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks can apply. Admission process is done on the basis of LPU National Engineering Aptitude Test (NEAT).

After completion of four years of study at LPU, candidates can choose either of the two options, to quit the course with B.Tech degree in hand or to continue with MBA degree for the next one year. Decision on this must be intimated to the institute, by the third year of the course itself.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech - MBA (Dual Degree) in LPU

Pass in HSC from any of the recognized Board is the basic qualification required. This qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 70% marks and with Physics, Mathematics, and English as subjects. A minimum aggregate of 50% marks is enough for candidates with a valid score in LPU NEAT, State level entrance test, or JEE (Main). It is not necessary to study English as a subject for those candidates who have studied in English medium school or who have studied Computer Science as a subject. Those applying for B.Tech in streams of Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, and Food Technology must have studied subjects of Physics, Chemistry, English and Maths/Biology/Biotechnology.

Admission Procedure for B.Tech - MBA (Dual Degree) in LPU

Admission process to the course is done on the basis of LPU National Engineering Aptitude Test (NEAT). The test is based on the syllabus of CBSE - XI and XII class. Duration of the test is 1 ½ hours. Questions for the test are asked from topics of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Computer Science. Candidates need to answer any of the three sections (subjects) only. Twenty questions (each) are asked from the topics of Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science. There are 15 questions each from the sessions of Physics and mathematics. Mode of the exam is online and offline. Those who qualify the test will be selected for admission through a counseling process. Personnel interview and certificate verification will be carried out at this stage.
