Nirma University offers undergraduate, post graduate and PhD courses in Law. HSC holders with at least 50% marks can apply for undergraduate law courses. For joining LLM course, it is essential to complete either a 3 year General LLB, Special LLB or 5 year Integrated LLB courses. Admission for both undergraduate and Post graduate Law courses will be based on CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) score . For Doctor of Philosophy in Law, LLM qualified candidates will be considered. They will be given admission based on the rank obtained in any of the National level tests like CSIR (JRF) examination, NET/SLET exam or marks obtained in M.Phil.

Admission Procedure for Undergraduate Law courses in Nirma University

In order to join any of the undergraduate courses in Law, candidates need to complete 12th class from a recognized board by scoring at least 50% marks. The minimum age limit of candidates should not be below 20 years to apply. As part of the admission procedure, it is essential for candidates to attend Common Law Entrance Examination (CLAT) and obtain a good score in the same. Candidates can attend the counseling process as part of the final selection process for these courses.

Admission Procedure for Master of Law (LLM) course in Nirma University

A graduate degree in Law is essential to apply for LLM course in this University. Those candidates who have completed any of the courses like 3 year General LLB program, LLB (Special) or 5 year Integrated LLB programs become eligible to apply for the same. It is also compulsory to obtain a minimum of 55% marks in graduate level course to submit applications for LLM course in this university. Candidates will be given admission to LLM course based on the merit rank obtained in CLAT (Common Law Admission Test). As part of admission process, 70% weightage will be given to the entrance exam marks and another 30% weightage will be given to work experience and publications made by candidates.

Admission Procedure for Ph.D (Law) course in Nirma University

It is essential to hold an LLM degree from any of the recognized Universities or institutes to get registered for Doctor of Philosophy in Law. A minimum of 55% marks in LLM to apply. A preference for admission will be given to those candidates who have cleared National Level Tests such as UGC/CSIR (JRF) examination, NET/SLET exam or M.Phil. Candidates need not attend any entrance examination and will be directly selected after interview. After giving admission to candidates on the basis of above mentioned categories, if further vacancies remains, an entrance test will be conducted for selecting candidates. Those who are able to clear entrance exams need to attend Personal Interview as well.
