Graduates in any discipline with at least two years of work experience can apply for MBA (Technology Management) in Osmania University. Admission process is done on the basis of an objective model entrance test conducted at Osmania University. Topics like Business Knowledge, Current Affairs, Mathematics, and General English are asked for the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA (Technology Management) in Osmania University

Bachelor degree in any subject, obtained from Osmania University or its equivalent is the educational qualification required. They should have at least two year of work experience. The work experience must be obtained in Executive / Managerial/ Administrative job positions. Working professionals with post-bachelor’s experience of two years in government/semi-government/local authorities / autonomous bodies are eligible. The Officers of the defense forces or establishments are also eligible to apply. They should have at least 2 years of work experience after obtaining the bachelor’s degree. The work experience of 2 years must be completed on the date of joining to MBA degree. Eligible candidate must submit the no objection certificate from the present employer.

Selection Procedure for MBA (Technology Management) in Osmania University

Admission of suitable candidates is done on the basis of an entrance test conducted at Osmania University. If more than two candidates have obtained the same rank in the entrance test, then the order of merit will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in the first section (Part A) of the entrance test. Age of the candidate and the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination are also taken in to consideration. In case of age, those with seniority will get higher priority.

Pattern for MBA (Technology Management) Entrance Test in Osmania University

The written test for admission to MBA (Technology Management) is conducted in objective model. There will be two parts for the test, Part A and Part B. The test is conducted for 100 marks. Time allotted for answering the test is 90 minutes. Part A includes questions based on topics of Business Knowledge and Current Affairs and is asked for 40 marks. General awareness questions will be asked on business issues, scientific knowledge, and socio-economic issues.

The Part B of the question paper is divided in to two sections, Section I and Section II. Section I include questions for 30 marks and is based on the following topics.

  • GCM
  • LCM
  • Mean, Median and Mode
  • Numbers and divisibility
  • Numerical Ability
  • Partnerships
  • Percentages
  • Profit & Loss
  • Ratios and proportions
  • Simple problems on Probability
  • Time & Distance
  • Time and Work

Section-II is based on General English topics and is asked for 30 marks. Candidate’s verbal ability and functional use of grammar in day to day communication are evaluated in this section.
