Delhi Technological University was established in the year 2009 as Delhi College of Engineering. The university is a government university which later became a state university. Professor P. B. Sharma is the Vice Chancellor of the university and Shri tejendra Khanna is the Chancellor. The university offers various undergraduate as well as post graduate courses to its students. The university has an urban campus spreaded in an area of approximatley 164 acres. The university has an academic staff of 150 personnel. Initially, the university was established as Delhi Polytechnic, Government of India.

Eligibility:

Professor: The desirable age limit set for the post is less than 55 years i.e. candidates should not have age more than the prescribed maximum age limit of 55 years as on 6 January 2012.

Associate Professor: Candidates interested in applying for the post of Associate Professor, should possess age less than the maximum age limit i.e. 50 years as on 6 January 2012.

This age criteria is strictly need to be followed by the interested candidates in order for being eligible for applying for the specified posts.

Educational Qualification:

Interested candidates should possess Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregate at the preceeding degree. Besides this, candidates should have an excellent academic record throughout.

Professor: Minimum 6 years experience is need to be possessed by the candidates as an Associate Professor or equivalent under the pay scale of Grade Pay of Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.

Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years experience is need to be possessed by the candidates as an Assistant Professor or equivalent under the pay scale of Grade Pay of Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7000.

Pay Scale:

Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 500 is need to be paid by General candidates. Other candidates, who belongs to SC/OBC/PH categories, are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 250 only. The application fee should be paid in the form of a Demand Draft only. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of Registrar, Delhi Technological University payable at Delhi.
