Profile:

Assam University was established in the year 1994 under Assam (Central) University Act, 1989. The campus of the university is situated in Dargakona and is spreaded in an area of about 600 acres. There are around 240 faculty members in the university. The university has nine schools under it which offers Social Sciences, Humanities, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Management Studies and Technology, Information Sciences and Environmental Sciences. There are total 29 departments in all these nine schools.

Job Profile:

Candidates are invited to apply for the posts of Professor, Reader and Assistant Professor in Assam University. Selected candidates will be appointed at headquarter Silchar and Diphu Campus.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
No. of posts: 9 posts

Eligibility:

Candidates should not be more than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the specified posts.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to have a degree from a recognized institute or university for applying for the specified teaching posts in Assam University.

Selection Process:

The final selection for the posts will be made strictly on the basis of the selection criteria which includes both written examination and the personal interview session.
